Established in the year 2019, Kartavya, an exceptional NGO, traces its origins to the compassionate vision of seniors at Jayshree Periwal International School's hostel. Born within the vibrant hostel community, Kartavya has thrived as an exclusive initiative owned by the spirited residents. For over five years now, the organization has left an indelible mark on society, thanks to the shining hearts of hostellers who have actively engaged in a range of philanthropic activities. From providing essential clothing to hosting enjoyable fundraisers, Kartavya's history is a testament to the enduring commitment and benevolence of its hostel community, making a positive impact on the lives of the underprivileged.

In 2022, we embarked on an extraordinary journey of compassion and community support through our movie fundraiser event, featuring Marvel's latest superhero blockbuster, "Thor: Love and Thunder." This cinematic experience became the canvas for a noble cause, as attendees not only enjoyed the epic adventures of Thor but also contributed to a meaningful initiative.

Our mission went beyond the silver screen – we aimed to make a lasting impact on the lives of students attending an underfunded government school. The funds raised during this spectacular event was dedicated to equipping the school with essential resources for mental health assistance. Recognizing the critical need for mental health support in educational institutions, we strived to create a positive change by fostering an environment where students can thrive emotionally and academically.

In 2023, an unforgettable movie fundraiser unfolded as we embarked on a mission that transcended the boundaries of the silver screen. The spotlight was on "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One," a thrilling cinematic experience that became the backdrop for a compassionate initiative. Organized with the aim of making a meaningful impact, this event successfully raised $2400 to support an old-age home in rural Rajasthan.

The funds generated from this movie fundraiser were dedicated to providing essential assistance to the elderly residents of the rural old-age home. One of the heartwarming highlights of this initiative was the donation of wheelchairs, offering enhanced mobility and comfort to those in need. Titled "Dream Girl - for the dream of our girls," this campaign held a special place in our hearts as it aimed to bring about positive change in the lives of women through a noble cause.

The focus of this fundraising drive was to raise funds for providing biodegradable sanitary napkins to those in need while simultaneously spreading awareness about menstrual health among the less fortunate. With every ticket purchased for the movie, attendees became contributors to a brighter future for women who were unaware of crucial aspects of menstrual health.
